Like every month, here's an overview of our artists' latest releases and ongoings, either upcoming or already out now.
Daniele Papini – Hidden Source

12" · Break New Soil (BNS002) · Release date: OUT NOW!
While Gregor Tresher’s own debut on his new label is still causing a stir on the dancefloors, they are now very happy to have one of last years most promising talents on board for the second release: Daniele Papini, born and raised in Italy and now relocated to the German Techno capital Berlin, gained loads of respect for his breakthrough hit "Church Of Nonsense" on Mauro Picotto’s Alchemy label, definitely being one of last year’s biggest tracks that was played by literally every DJ on the planet. Also his collaboration with Hugo on Systematic - a groove monster par excellence - underlined his status of being one of the new faces of the moment.
Now Daniele comes up with what we think is his biggest track so far: "Hidden Source" has it all. It’s a quite basic yet highly effective melodic tune that will turn every dusty basement club into the most perfect summer dancefloor you can imagine! It has been one of the biggest tracks in Gregor’s DJ-Sets for the last weeks causing madness on every dancefloor he played it out.
With "No Haste" on the flip Daniele showcases his deeper side of production, layering drums and basslines to a hypnotic early morning track, destined to be played during a Balearic sunrise as well as on a wasted Berlin tuesday morning.
Break New Soil welcomes Daniele Papini: Let´s get ready for the summer season 2009!
Mauro Picotto – Diamond (Hugo & Daniele Papini mix)

12" · Alchemy rec. (ALC033) · Release date: July 19th, 2009 (digital) / July 29th, 2009 (vinyl)
Karotte – All She Wants Is

12" · Break New Soil (BNS003) · Release date: OUT NOW!
It always is a little sensation when Karotte finds the time to go to the studio to record a new track, since he probably is one of the hardest working DJs around with a schedule always packed to the maximum. Now, once again he teams up with his longtime producer and Break New Soil Label owner Gregor Tresher, and like their most recent collaborations (that all have been picked up by the biggest names in the business), the track is already in everyone’s mouth. "All She Wants Is" has been the secret weapon in Karotte’s Sets over the last months and could be described as the essence of his sound of the moment: a highly energetic yet classic sounding house tune!
On Remix duty, we have some of the most promising talents around: Microdinamic aka Luca & Paul stand for the new Italian Techno generation, constantly delivering high quality productions, not only on their own Polar Noise label, and their mix transforms the original track into a techno-house bomb par excellence.
Also we are happy to have two remixes by representatives of the new school sound of house everybody’s talking about at the moment: Robert Dietz had a row of sensational releases over the last months and especially his tracks for Cécille and Running Back were highlights of the young 2009. Once again he delivers a deep and hypnotic interpretation of the original track. Last but not least Markus Fix, one of the newest members of Sven Väth’s Cocoon roster adds his version of "All She Wants Is" and comes up with a stunning deep house treatment.
Break New Soil number three takes you on a journey into house music - all night long!

Gimikk's New Album: Untitled Concept

Album · Remote Area · Release date: OUT NOW!
Yet another live/production outfit has sprouted from the fertile techno soil of Amsterdam. Its name - Gimikk - echoes the unpretentious attitudes and sounds of the flourishing underground scene. It was the open and co-operative spirit of the new school techno generation that brought Daniel Sanchez and Eelco Augustijn aka. E-Contact together. After two well- received EP’s and a lot of hard work their debut album is a fact on Remote Area label. We present to you Untitled Concept, a killer collection of tracks set to shake up dancefloors around the globe.
To kickstart Untitled Concept, Daniel and Eelco locked themselves up for a seven day studio binge. The idea was to get into a certain atmosphere, that would lay the foundation for the rest of the session. With the dancefloor in mind and a range of inspirations in their hearts, Daniel and Eelco created eight tracks carrying the same moving and hypnotic quality; Yet each expressing a different mood or feeling. The outcome is a treat for the ears as well as the feet.
Daniel and Eelco showcase a deep sense of dancefloor dynamics on this album. From the dreamy chords of Lovely Way to the wobbly grooves of Dutch Moment; from the percussive mindfucks of Paranoid Nerd to the luscious flows of Soulboy – each is made up of the same effective rhythms bound to set any dancefloor aflame. Untitled Concept is suitable for different dj’s and occasions. Be it the peaktime power of Complex Construction or the 7AM-like deepness of Movement, the album is a sure shot for each moment of the night.
Daniel and Eelco aptly named their album Untitled Concept, because they know that everybody listens to music in a different way – thus leaving room for interpretation. All is all, we would like to ongratulate these talented young producers on a job well done. It truly makes you wonder what other Gimikks they have up those magical sleeves of theirs...
